LIONEL RICHIE was one of only a few artists in a long row to have performed his concert on 16. 12. 98 and he was just great! :oD
The man has still got so much energy in himself despite him being 50 this year. The concert was opened with the famous ballad "Hello", an all-time favourite.
He had such power over the crowd, having had them screaming, whistling, cheering, stomping and even giving him standing ovations literally after every song, something we've never ever experienced before. Judging by the expression on his face and brisk exclamations on his side, such as "oh my God" and "my oh my", showed that he definitely enjoyed it as much as us fans, if not even more.
He presented some new songs, blended in well with a mixture of The Commodores' old hits as well as most of his own well-known solo material, such as "Dancing on the ceiling" or "Penny Lover".

What made it an even more special night was the fact that it was his last concert here in Europe, before heading off to Africa for the last leg of the tour. We managed to get him back on stage for two more songs. So, all in all, he was out there performing for two hours with hardly a break to relax. What a great artist, what a brilliant concert!
