   it was all change for the Electric Light Orchestra as Roy Wood announces his leaving of the group. His place was taken by Jeff Lynne.


   it's a similar story for the group Free when Andy Fraser walks out and is replaced by the Japanese bassist Tetsu for the forthcoming tour. And another new member who accompanied the band on tour was John Bundrick on keyboard.


   the musical HAIR closes on Broadway on the 1st of July, after 1.729 performances.


   Matt The Hoople released "All the Young Dudes" under U.K.'s CBS. The record was written and produced by David Bowie.


   two members of the Rolling Stones find themselves in trouble with the police. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were arrested in Warwick Rhode Island. They were charged with obstructing the police after an argument with a photographer.


   The Wings decided to be different. They started their 26-date European tour aboard a London double decker bus.


   Martha Reeves announced that The Vandellas have disbanded and that she wanted to pursue a solo career.
