According to some sources Canadian singer Celine Dion, an active and passionate golfer herself, will head the Nabisco Championship Celebrity Pro-Am on the 22/3/00 in Rancho Mirage, California. It will be her first public appearance - alongside other celebreties, ie. Patrick Duffy, Alice Cooper, Glen Frey and many more - since she took a break to care for her cancer-stricken husband René. Celine is said to be very thrilled to have been asked to take part in the championship.

5ive who have been nominated for Best British Newcomer in '99, have picked up the award for Best British Pop Act at the 42^nd Brit Award on the 3/3/00. Their hit current hit "Keep On Moving" is a definite success.

Macy Gray has picked up 2 awards at the Brits on 3/3/00, one for Best International Female Solo Artist and the other in the category of Best International Newcomer. With the latter she stunned fans of Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, as they were certain that the battle would only be between those two new 'hot girls'.

Geri Halliwell was beaten to the Best British Female Solo Artist Award at the Brits by newcomer Beth Orton.
However, she put on a stunning and cheeky show that night - emerging from a huge plastic blow-up of spread legs which were dressed in her old well-known Brits dress -, partially making fun of and referring in many ways to her former colleagues, the Spice Girls.

Whitney Houston has been nominated for a "Brits" in the group of Best International Female Solo Artist, however, she missed out on the award to Macy Gray.

Time for awards... Alanis Morissette has actually managed to scoop up nominations in 5 (!) categories for the yearly Canadian Juno Awards (11. & 12. 3. 2000). The categories are: Top Female Artist, Songwriter, Video, Album and Pop/Adult Artist.

All has gone quiet around Cliff Richard the last few weeks after his success hit "Millennium Prayer", as he's in a sabbatical time of the year. Nonetheless Cliff-fans will be pleasantly surprised at the end of March. Apparently, on the 27/3 he will go online at his own site for an hour to answer a few questions from his fans. Poor Britney Spears was left out in the cold at the Brit Awards when Macy Gray got presented with the 2 awards she expected to take home herself.

On 03/03/00 the Spice Girls were presented with a prize for Outstanding Contribution To British Music at the Brit Awards.
Makes you wonder WHAT outstanding contribution. No disrespect to the girls, but there surely are many other great artists who deserved that and who have been round a lot longer ....

The Spice Girls and Geri Halliwell have both been nominated for the upcoming Brit Awards (03/03/2000), in different categories. Geri, along with Mel C, has been nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist, but the Spice Girls themselves as a group have also been put up for a Lifetime Achievement award.

Can't win all the time. That's why Sting has lost out this time on a Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist. The award was presented to Mr Tom Jones.

Guess who's the one??? Yep, Mr. Robbie Williams has proved yet again that he's simply the best - to the nuisance of the Gallagher boys who are fighting out a childish battle of words with him at the present moment in time.
Robbie's not only won the Best British Single but also Best British Video Award and is said to be very thrilled.
